Developmental Editing
You did it! You've finished writing a draft of your story. Now, if you're ready to turn it over to a pro developmental editor, you can count on me.
how it works
You know that at it's core, your writing is good. You also know that it isn't quite coming together right. It's just not flowing. With developmental editing, you submit the manuscript draft you wrote. I review it for you, and discuss the issues with you. Then I "developmentally" edit the document and polish it up for publication.
You can't figure out how to take it apart and put it back together in a way that allows it to shine and be its best. Think of developmental editing as word surgery--or auto mechanics. All the elements are there, all the parts. They just need to be reassembled in such a way that allows the writing to reach its highest potential.
That's where I come in. In addition to being a skilled, experienced book writer, I am a natural-born editor. A "Developmental Editor." I have the innate ability to uncover, discover, and understand what needs to be done to a manuscript to develop and elevate it to its highest potential, so it can truly shine. I will review the manuscript, address any structure issues, and revise, edit, and polish it. Expertly. Sensitively. Without losing your writing voice or your intentions for the manuscript. When I'm done polishing your manuscript, it will be all you have hoped and dreamed it could be. It will be ready for publication!
